The key to Financial Freedom

Three Standard Ways We Earn Income:
1. Working a Job. This is the way the majority of men and
women in North America earn income. Unfortunately, most people will
only earn 25 percent (at most) of their true worth working for someone
else.
North Americans now earn an average annual income of over $30,000.
Even for those earning twice that amount, an unexpected bill of
$1,000 can be a "real hardship." And we typically save
only a very, very small percentage of our income, if we can save
anything at all.
Working a job will not provide financial freedom.
2. Owning a business has been called the "American
Dream". Sadly, the reality is more like a nightmare. 80+ percent
of all small businesses fail within the first five years. Of those
that make it, 80+ percent of the dwindling balance will fail within
the next five. A small business also requires substantial up-front
capital investment (an average franchise today costs $85,000+, not
including real estate costs and long hours (60 to 80 in average).
Small business owners typically work for free for the first six
months to two years. Most admit that their businesses own them!
It is possible to establish financial freedom in a small business.
The odds, however, are against it.
3. Investment. Real estate, stocks and bonds, venture capital
investment and other financial vehicles are proven ways to earn
income-but they require substantial capital up-front. Earning $5,000.00
or more per month from real estate, stocks or bank CDs requires
from $500,000 to $1,000,000 principal investment.
In order for your money to earn money, you must have a great deal
of it to start with. Most people do not.
One More Way to Earn Income:
There is another way to earn income. This is the way that authors,
inventors, actors and performing artists earn income. It's called
"residual income".
Residual income is money that continues to be generated long
after the initial efforts to earn it are complete-that is, income
earned without your having to be directly involved in the on-going
efforts to earn it. The royalties earned from the sales of a popular
book or piece of music, licensing frees from a patented invention,
and earnings from distribution of a successful film are examples
of residual income.
If you were being paid more than once for the time and effort you
put in, then you could say you were earning a residual income
Most of us do not have the opportunity to earn residual income-that
is, unless we are involved in Network Marketing.
